We had a very powerful Memorial Gathering and Healing Circle at Marshall Park in Charlotte, NC on Saturday. You can watch the entire video on Facebook at this link: https://www.facebook.com/invitationmvmt/videos/859563964650940/. To begin the gathering, we remembered atrocities against First Nations and African Americans historically in the region. We also remembered aborted babies. Then we remembered lives of young people lost to violence, to include those listed below:
· Javion Sanders
· Shawn Harbin
· Mary Santina Collins
· Justin Carr
· Cinquay Farrer
· Davyon Farrer
· Samuel Harrison Stitt
The mothers and grandmothers of those mentioned above (mothers pictured below) also shared their stories about their children (grandchildren) and their family’s loss. We prayed and cried together. We listed names on our Memorial Scroll, which is going from city to city, we created crosses with the names of individuals and whole people groups lost to violence, and we walked a “Trail of Tears” together, connecting all of this loss in the region and releasing it to God for healing.
We then asked God to atone for innocent blood shed on the land by our Messiah’s Blood and to heal hurting souls. Then God released revelation and instruction through Kashauna Sanders and Apostle Markita Brooks, and we addressed division, hopelessness and a devaluing of life. We also prayed for the city of Charlotte, calling down the spirit of murder, and invited God to have His way in Charlotte, NC.
Through the Invitation Movement, we have accepted God’s invitation to meet Him where He is working to turn this nation back to Himself, one city at a time, through healing, peace and justice. God has given us an assignment to bring down the spirit of murder in Charlotte and to release unity and hope. You can join us by starting in Your City and sharing Your Story. God moved powerfully during our Healing Circle in Charlotte (see below) and formed a local team there. He can do the same in Your City.
If you're interested in being a part of the Invitation: Charlotte, complete the form below. If you're in a different city, visit our Your City page, complete that form and begin to pray (which is step 1).
